Why Support Holocaust Education?

By educating our youth about the darkest parts of history, we can teach them about the dangers of hate and empower them to shape a brighter future.

Only 29 states mandate Holocaust education, and they inconsistently provide funding to support the mandate.

This is why Holocaust education is critical and urgent.

Almost two-thirds of Millennials and Gen Z don’t know that 6 million Jews were killed in the Holocaust.

Jews face 55% of all religious hate crimes yet they are just 2.4% of the US population.

2023 saw the highest number of antisemitic incidents across the U.S. on record since ADL began tracking in 1979.

Hate crimes more than doubled between 2014 and 2022, and they surged to the highest level in 12 years in 2023.
